PRIVACY POLICY

At SKEEL, we are committed to protecting your privacy. Therefore we will treat the Personal Data of those concerned with due care and will maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that your Personal Data, such as your name, address, telephone number etc., are processed in accordance with Belgian and European laws and regulations, and in particular with the European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (the “GDPR”). All capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning as defined in the GDPR.

This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) applies to the www.skeel.be website (the “Website”), owned and operated by:
Checksum BV, having its registered address of business at Virginie Lovelingstraat 3, 9111 Belsele, is a law firm under Belgian law, VAT BE 0656.864.402 (hereafter “SKEEL”)
SKEEL collects and processes different types of Personal Data, depending on the services you use on the Website:

  • Contact information (name, email, telephone number): if you fill in the contact form
  • Technical information (IP address)
  • Cookies (reference is made to the Cookies section below).

Furthermore, SKEEL automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information when you visit our Website such as the browser type and the pages on the Website that were visited.

SKEEL processes your Personal Data provided through our Website for following purposes:

  • Administrative to follow-up on your requests submitted through the Website
  • For purposes of tailoring and ameliorating your experience on the Website and to evaluate our services offered to you
  • SKEEL will refrain from publicly disclosing your Personal Data or from sharing your Personal Data with third parties (other than in cases where, by exception, access to a third party is required for the technical administration of the website.

Any information provided to us is treated with care and discretion. However, we cannot ensure or guarantee the security of Personal Data you transmit to us and we will not be liable for disclosure thereof, due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts by third parties. Your Personal Data will be retained as follows:

  • Contact Information : maximum of one (1) year or until you exercise your right to object or to be forgotten, as set out below
  • Technical Information : 90 days

At all times, you have the possibility to exercise your rights described in the GDPR:

  • Your right to information: request all collected Personal Data (including processing purposes, categories of Personal Data, estimated retention period) for inspection;
  • Your right to rectification : the opportunity to have incorrect Personal Data corrected;
  • Your right on data portability : you may request to receive all your Personal Data, processed by SKEEL, in a structured, format to transmit such data to another controller by simple request to privacy@skeel.be
  • Your right to be forgotten : you may contact SKEEL on privacy@skeel.be to request removal of your Personal Data by simple request. Please note that if the Personal Data is not provided, or erasure thereof is requested, we will not be able to further deliver you services or keep you updated;
  • Your right to object : by making a request to privacy@skeel.be .

SKEEL is responsible for the collecting and processing of your Personal data that you provide through the Website. If you have any questions about this Policy, the manner how SKEEL collects and processes your Personal Data or wish to edit or delete any Personal Data submitted to SKEEL, you can send an e-mail to privacy@skeel.be.
This Privacy Policy may be amended at any time. Amendments are posted on the Website to keep you informed at all times.

Amended versions of this Statement take effect fifteen (15) days after their publication on the Website.

This Privacy Policy shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with Belgian law.
The Belgian Courts of Dendermonde (Section Dendermonde) are exclusively competent to decide on any dispute that may arise from the interpretation or implementation of this Privacy Policy, without prejudice to a user’s right to present a dispute before the competent court on the basis of a mandatory statutory provision.
